The Via Crucis for Crucified Four

Here we are, at the end of the campaign to convince 10 people to contribute to the Crucified Four project. We had one big contributor with a 250 contribution and we’re very grateful. The total raised so far, after all these months, is 830 dollars, some of which were put to very good use.

The campaign will continue, of course, maybe a couple of people will want to support this project, but we no longer count on the campaign to raise part of the funds we need to produce those four films. We’re looking into alternative means to have the necessary funds we need.

On this post I will respond to ONE comment and that’s that. No more comments about Crucified Four until we begin production or something happens worthy of commenting, like a new cast member, or something extraordinary like someone decided to give us one million dollars. No longer will I be pestering everyone with this.

JDArts: Well, I would like Simonne’s character to die on the cross. It wouldn’t make much sense if she is rescued and manages to survive.

That is the original intention. The four protagonists in Crucified Four have a very unhappy and cruel end. Some suffering more than others, or maybe the same, but in different ways. In any case, that’s what the script calls for and that’s the end of the story.

The script will no longer be a subject of discussion. Those who already contributed are aware of what the movies will be about and any discussion about the progress of the film will be done directly with them.

We will have some news for our supporters as we walk our via crucis to make the series. At this moment Jac is dealing with his very personal issues and everyone is waiting to hear from him. There will be one or two meetings early next week with the principal female cast, that’s Dani, Mila, Ligia, Simonne and Geraldine. They will be updated with the situation so they will know what to expect in the next few months. None of the male characters have been cast yet.

The production team will decide after that meeting if the cast will be blocking some dates for the production of Crucified Four along with other issues related to the production, conditions, payments and so on. Jac will be totally honest, as always.

After the meeting and when all the decisions are taken, our team will move on to the next priorities for the new cycle. We will know what to expect and we will do what we need to do.

The work with Dani, Mila and Ligia on the CruXbound films will continue and we will be commenting once in a while on those films as they go through production, post production and when the films are getting ready for release… or when I get some interesting news from Jac, although he is not promising anything, so that’s a big if; he prefers to continue the work quietly from now on.

I will also be announcing the progress of the films that are in post production on a regular basis but not with a lot of detail until each film is ready for the big time.

The efforts I made to fundraise for Crucified Four did not have the effect I intended so I feel like it was basically a waste of my time which I could use for other goals, like promoting all those 50 movies we have in our store.

Maybe it wasn’t a total waste because in those posts I mentioned CruXtreme III a few times and the sales on that particular movie went up. It’s in second place this year after Seditiosa.

Justine went down to a close third place for this year, after occupying the first place for a while until Seditiosa was released.

It is obvious that the films we have require more of my time and deserve proper promotion.

Our work will now be dedicated to alternative funding possibilities and to the BIG plans we have for other work, of which Crucified Four is part of but not the most urgent at this time. The rest of April and May will be completely taken by one BIG plan that I cannot reveal until it is all set. It will take most of next month.

We have a few alternatives for funding and I will be updating on that when things move in that direction.

I’m grateful to those of you who contributed to the project and you won’t be disappointed, we’ll make sure of that. If you contributed and want to be updated on how things are moving, send us an email to redfeline@gmail.com, we will send you reports on the progress with some pictures and links to videos as we have them.

If you want to be part of this, just go and donate to the campaign.

We still have our APRIL SALE 15% OFF on ALL our FILMS!

I guess the world we live in is too different from a year ago and we can’t be sure what the future holds. All the unexpected things that happened and are happening both, in the world at large and in our personal lives, have made us look at things with different eyes.

We have our way of doing things, knowing what to expect when things are NORMAL, which no longer holds. We have a number of uncertainties which we have to take into account as we move forward and go into the new cycle.
