Some positions are really, really painful!

Something happened in the country last week that changed completely the entire situation, even history. I mentioned before that Bolivians were reacting against the evident fraud committed by the government during the recent presidential elections. I also mentioned that Jac was working at the polling booths then, making sure everything was legit in his polling station. So far so good. At one point, during the counting of the votes and when the president saw that he was not winning, the count was stopped and re-started 24 hrs later showing that Morales had won. The people cried out FRAUD and the upheaval began. Dani, Jac and tons of people were demonstrating, the police repressing the demonstrators, the supporters of the president threw dynamite sticks… very long story. By Saturday the demonstrations were so huge, that the police decided to join the fight for democracy. By Monday there was a new government, the now ex president flew to Mexico, and history in Bolivia turned completely around.

That’s the reason why Dani and Jac didn’t work on Crux Extrema II until the 14th, when they went in the set to work on a very complex and painful scene, on the combination Rack/Cross torture.

The work on the scene went painfully well. Tomorrow I’ll be in pain all day Dani commented when Jac called it a day. During the production of this film, Dani had to take a day or two off after completing a difficult scene, like the one they did last Thursday. Her entire body aches after the work. The positions she has to be in during the tortures take their toll on her resistance. She doesn’t mind, but she needs time to recover before going into another session of Absolute Torture!

There’s a lot of work still, if all goes well, if the country doesn’t go into civil war, if Dani and Jac don’t have to build barricades to protect the city, then they will go back to the set on Monday and resume shooting for at least three days to finish the last scenes Jac has in mind. It will not be over for Dani, of course, soon after this production is complete, they will begin shooting Crux Extrema III.

‘I will work in more of these films if Jac wants me to’. Dani responded to a question in an interview. ‘I love making them! she said in the same interview which is now streaming at the Red Feline CLUB.

Jac could not work on Crux Extrema I either, maybe a bit, because of the upheavals in the country, and he couldn’t make the changes on the site, so we still have the nice offer in our page. Amy was also extremely busy with her new film, some traveling and her academic work, without any time to get involved in anything else.
