While the world waits for The Passion of Isabel, Jac had a bunch of meetings with members of our team, one at a time, to discuss his plans and bounce some ideas. Apparently he decided to take the bull by the horns. As a matter of fact that’s how I described him to someone more than 20 years ago when things seemed to be floundering. I said to that someone that Jac is like a bull that once he puts his mind on something, nothing stops him. Soon after that we were producing the mini series and he began working with Camille on what later became the legend of Red Feline, a mini industry, so to speak. He’s at it again.

This is the plan for 2017-20128: We will produce the feature films: AventuraMaleficarum II, Dead But Dreaming II and IIISagarnagaCabrón, and the Television Series Pachamama. And that’s that, all subject to how these projects evolve during pre-production, of course. Jac’s reasoning, as he explained to all who had to listen to him was that all the scripts for those projects are ready and they are all good, it should be a waste not to make them. I expect a fundraising campaign for Maleficarum II, the rest will be funded from equity investments, our funds and some deals we’ll be making with a lot of people. The process of deal making already started for the series. This plan doesn’t count the feature film Amy will be directing in the US this summer.

Will there be Torture in any of the new productions? Jac is kind of going the way Lamentations described it best: I am more inclined to enjoy a scene when I don’t expect (because of the actress in the scene) what is coming. That facet of a GIMP related movie can be a real turn-on. I kind of agree with that. A GIMP scene, short GIMP scene, in a feature, mainstream movie or Television program, like some examples I’ve seen here recently, get people more excited that an entire film full of GIMP.

Except for Maleficarum II, which obviously will have GIMP in it, even a BATS scene or two, the rest of the films we’re going to produce are mostly Non Gimp. Maybe there will be an unexpected, surprise GIMP scene in one or two of them. Dead But Dreaming II and III will have very, very little gimp in them if any. One reason why Dead But Dreaming is not more commercially viable is because the GIMP scenes, like the rape, the whipping and the execution are too explicit and too long. Jac is recutting that film for a wider release.

Thanks for the link to part 2 of the interview, even more revealing – the passage just before the text you quoted speaks to me too: (…) Although I’m not an actress or film-director, I can identify very much with that journey into a ‘very, very dark place inside myself’, I’ve done that in my writing here, in stories like The Interrogation and Punishment Centre for Girls, and finding this place where I can share that journey in stories and poems has been a great help to me in ‘getting out’ – not escaping, but coming to terms with my ‘dark place’, even coming to love it as a special part of me, but one I can get out of and get on with life.

We see the obvious in the films. The body, the suffering, the hotness. We don’t see what’s behind the performance. Amy, Carmen, Bea, Mila, Vero, put a lot of themselves in the characters they play, not only their beautiful bodies. Their minds are a big part of the performance, they enter into dark places and it’s hard for them to get out of those places at the end. Acting in our movies is a lot of intense work and takes a toll on the actresses. There’s a point where they have to say ‘enough is enough’ and they do, which is the sane thing to do. Bea might have had enough with two films, JUSTINE and The Passion of Isabel.

I have the data of how our films did in March. JUSTINE is the undisputed best seller followed by Maleficarum and The Passion of Isabel; the rest lag far behind. I expect that after its release The Passion of Isabel might match JUSTINE; however, this new film will not be in amazon.com where JUSTINE and Maleficarum rule.

1.- JUSTINE – 300 points
2.- The Passion of Isabel – 164 points
3.- Maleficarum – 133 points
4.- Le Marquis de la Croix – 39 points
5.- BARBAZUL – 35 points
6.- Red Feline on The Cross – 34 points
7.- Dead But Dreaming – 29 points
8.- Agent X – 28 points
9.- Sirwiñakuy – 24 points
10.- FANTOM – 20 points

The campaign for the theatrical release of JUSTINE has already started. We were surprised to learn that the trailer is already popping up on different TV channels. One critic who will be reviewing the film for a national newspaper commented to Jac that he loved the film! Jac was pleasantly surprised, of course.

Jac was interviewed for a TV program broadcasted recently where the trailer of JUSTINE was prominent. The program was about cruelty. Kubrik, Roth and Jac were used to illustrate the comments on films that deal with terror, cruelty, sadism.

The Via Crucis of Camille – Crux 3! – The Via Crucis of Camille continues with Crux 3 – The Slave. Camille emotes an innocent slave being whipped and crucified for an unknown transgression. She resists the pain, grimacing, trying not let out a sound, to thwart the ones who want to make her scream. Her sounds of pain, her whimpering and cries do not move her torturer who continues to whip her mercilessly, until he tires of this and crucifies her with nails through her hands and feet. An intimate study of torture and crucifixion by Camille and JJ. Another of their private videos, now available to the public for a limited time!
