Amy replaced by Bea?!
On the surface, it might be tempting for some to dismissively label Amy’s work as mere erotic thrillers aimed at the BDSM crowd (and there are plenty who have), what with all the tying-up and flogging and whatnot — because there is a lot of tying up and flogging and whatnot — but that would just be a lazy surface analysis and missing much of what makes her films so unique and interesting. Because amid all the tying-up and flogging and whatnot is a series of works that are subversively feminist. Yeah. That’s right, I said Feminist.

Greetings All, Just wondering if Amy is being replaced by Bea. In my book this could never happen! Amy is and was one of a kind when it comes to her performances in the earlier movies! Bea is an attractive girl (body wise)!

No one is replacing anyone. Amy did not replace Carmen and Bea is not replacing Amy. Bea is working in a few movies with Jac, like Carmen and Amy did in the past and still do, but not as a replacement. At one point, Carmen decided to stay in France to dedicate herself to other endeavours, one of them to form a family, and to put her efforts in theatre. She’s doing great. She might return to work with Jac in Pachamama The Series. Yes, that’s the title of the television series, Pachamama (Mother Earth). Amy is a producer, director, script writer and actress with Pachamama Films and she will continue to be so. As a matter of fact, she’s very much involved in the production of The Passion of Isabel. She’ll be returning to Bolivia for the premiere of JUSTINE in theaters, she’s going to be a lead character in Pachamama The Series and other films, including Dead But Dreaming II and Aventura. Amy is not only a fantastic actress, she’s also a great director who is committed to her career. We’ll be hearing a lot about her work in the future. Both, Amy and Jac, have a lot in mind for the next few years.
Bea is working in a few films that she’s interested in working in. Not as a replacement, but as her own person. She is on her way to grow as an actress and she’s getting more involved in all aspects of production and who knows, she might one day be directing her own movies. Although what I see is that she’s more interested in photography. A new cycle has began with Bea, it will be different, that’s normal. There will be new faces as well, new challenges, new movies, all kinds of movies, beginning with The Passion of Isabel.
Margot, thank you for the ongoing reports and photos of the preparations for Isabel’s passion. The centrality of the rack to the process is an excellent idea: it is seldom used in a prolonged fashion, nor are its variants explored. I must mention that Bea has been stripped completely for her ordeal: after so much comment about the “diapers” it is surprising that the change has drawn so little comment. She is a brave and beautiful young woman….

Jac is going to be using the Rack/Wheel in ways that it becomes central to the story. Its imposing size, its terrifying look, will grab Isabel’s attention from the very beginning. She will see all those menacing devices when she first walks into the dungeon that she refuses to believe that all of them could be used on her. She can imagine that One of those monstrous apparatus would suffice to end her life in a most painful way. She doesn’t know that Torquemada has all of that in mind of her. And worse than that. Each of those implements displayed for her terror, can be used in more than one way. And yes, Bea is a beautiful, brave young woman who will impress everyone with her performance in The Passion of Isabel.
The Passion of Isabel will go into production any moment now. Bea and Jac are finishing up setting up the Dungeon. I will begin to report on the actual production of the movie early next week in the Red Feline Club
