Facing The Perfect Storm

Rome wasn’t built in one day, the saying goes and it was said as a comment to one of my posts. I certainly agree with that and I can see that not only empires or great cities or big buildings take time, so do films and that is the case with 69 Année Érotique.

This new film will be the first of what we hope will be many Big Production Values movies. This after a few years of working on the limited way of a cast and crew of two or three, in a single location, where all the action takes place and where Jac has to do most of the work. Movies like the CruXtreme series or Agent X.

The BPV movies require a lot, a large crew, a large cast, a number of locations. Like a normal movie. And they require cash, lots of it, and sometimes that cash runs out. But most of all, they need a lot of work in the organization itself and that’s where 69 Année Érotique is. Big and little details that must be resolved first.

While 69 Année Érotique gets a lot of attention, Seditiosa, the story of the young crucified FC is also getting the work done but with a wall of indifference surrounding it. Sad to say, it shouldn’t be that way.

69 Année Érotique does not need a lot of outside attention or outpouring of emotions. It only needs the inspiration that the subject brings to its author, that’s Jac. His motivations behind 69 Année Érotique are straight forward, he wants to tell that story and he doesn’t need to break the bank to do it. He has what he needs and he knows that there’s a sure audience of at least one person for that film.

It is not the same for Seditiosa. It’s a risky story, with a built in controversy that can make millions loose their temper or worse, their souls. But that’s not what is our main concern. Like I said before,

Our version will have women in the leading roles of those marched to be crucified and it will be the most outrageous, demanding and sadistic adaptation of the 2,000 years old story that inspired books, films, religions, cults…….

Seditiosa needs hard cash, lots of it, and we’re about to launch a campaign to raise 25,000 dollars… that’s it, enough to cover the limousine expenses for The Passion of The Christ, a film that cost 25,000,000 to make.

We will be asking for contributions from 100 to thousands of dollars per individual… and yet, we have only 6 faithful supporters willing to spend between 10 to 30 bucks a month in our Patreon site. Hmm.

As I type these words, Jac is busy multitasking again, working on the pitch, editing, working on two scripts, writing the background story for the characters in Seditiosa, feeding his cats, walking his dog… and that’s just in the mornings. He’s also working on the set, sharing his love with his faithful cast and, most importantly, letting me know of all his tribulations, which include his powerful drill’s battery charger that died and because of it he can’t drill the walls to set up those chains he needs to have ready to shoot the whipping scenes in 69 Année Érotique and if that was not enough trouble, his Sennheiser sound recorder is showing signs that something went totally wrong so he’ll need to hire a sound recordist right away, and so much more that would take a week of writing it extensively … but he unloaded enough complaints on me to make me aware of the situation with plenty of details for me to inform our fans and bitch and bitch some more. C’est la vie!

And yet, Jac finds moments of relaxation with either one of the actresses or all three of them, a cat or all five of them, a book, if it deals with the old testament nowadays, or when walking Rocky, because he can do a lot of thinking while he strolls from street block to street block for as many street blocks his dog demands to do his business and learn the news about what’s going on with all the other city dogs.

The pressure is mounting to launch the campaign for Seditiosa so the production of 69 Année Érotique can finally get on the road.

But those two are not the only productions we’re working on. We have the theatrical release of Pygmalion for November and the release of CruXtreme V – The Playmates for the end of October.

And that’s not all, we’re preparing a few posts for the Patreon page with information that blew my mind and I’m sure it will blow yours. Sometimes I think he should turn Seditiosa into a series… and that’s a joke on my part so don’t assume that it is something that is happening. But, in the other hand, wouldn’t a series be kind of amazing? All that background story I’m hearing about, covering a thousand years of history and myth blending into a fantastic tale of … universal struggle.
