39 Lashes and the Roman Scorpion

The week is ending with a large post at Patreon dealing with the 39 Lashes in Seditiosa.

In it we go over some very interesting details of what we have in mind for the film. I’m sharing here a little bit, just a little bit, a little taste, a little tease:

The reaction to the 39 Lashes post compels us to continue on the subject. One comment in particular stands out because it points to one of the most critical elements in a script, Character Development.

In the case of the protagonist of the story, her development will certainly include some of the points made in the astute observation of one of our (few) Patrons::

(…) Her willingness to go the extra mile, (…) she presses beyond what people thought would be possible for a woman of her size. (…) is “drinking the cup” and not sparing herself.

Jimbob:

We are making clear that the crucifixion is preceded by the flagrum, the effects of which make the vision of the crucified all the more dreadful and if the crucified are three beautiful young women, it is even more monstrous. Josephus called it “the most pitiable of deaths.”

There’s one detail not known by most, sometimes the Roman scourge contained a hook at the end and was given the terrifying name “scorpion.” A lash from this scourge would make deeper lashes from the shoulders to the waist.

One must wonder now, when our female christ is finally nailed to her patibulum and she’s about to be raised up to her cross, will she get a taste of the Scorpion? Will Judith? Will Magdalena? We will go into more details of what happens to the three amazing ladies after their arrest.

On the second day of next month and for 5 days only, our VIP Patrons will be invited to watch a movie.

In the meantime, Jac is going nuts with the set for 69 Année Érotique. He’s going physical again, moving all the things he moved out of the places, where they belong, again, with the added work of having to organized it all again. It looks like it’s going to take another week before they can start shooting that movie. He’s planning some “dress rehearsals” for this coming week.

Jac is almost done with the Pitch for the IndieGoGo campaign, but he needs to record a bit more with Dani, Mila and Simonne. That too is part of next week’s work. We should be ready to launch the campaign by the end of the week.

After the campaign is up and running, we’ll begin the production of 69.

We might be getting the date of release of Pygmalion next week. That too, is part of the work.

I will have more news soon!!
