Trials and Tribulations Part 2
There are times when things come together for reasons only the universe knows and somehow a clear path appears in front of us. This weekend is turning to be one of those times.
As you all may know we have a Big Production Values movie in pre production, 69 Année Érotique, and although most of the cast is already in, there were two characters, one very magically delicious, as described by Dani, and particularly of critical importance, and another character that is also very important for the story who has at least one scene where she appears topless.
Well, as it always happens for reasons only known to Shekhina, get used to that name, she’s the Mother of All Things, a beautiful lady friend called Jac Thursday evening. She wanted to meet with him for coffee or something right away. It’s not everyday that Jac gets asked for an urgent date, so he was very pleased.
So, off he went that evening, leaving all the work and his very confused pets behind, to meet with this very lovely lady. At the end of his almost romantic and very rewarding meeting he had the actress he needed for the role with a topless scene.
At the same time, Jac was going through a decision making process for the missing magical character, and after one sleepless night or two, he found the solution, a fantastic solution that, once analysed, it was kind of obvious.
And yesterday he received two bits of news. One from his Production Assistant telling him that there are two people interested in the job of DP (Director of Photography) for the films ahead. Something Jac needs urgently.
With those issues resolved Jac has all the cast and the crew set for the production.
Jac was very happy before Friday ended. Then he received a bit of sad news. The University in Florida that was organizing the screenings and talks he was invited to do, all expenses paid, for September, was cancelling the events, or maybe postponing them, because of some internal problems.
Jac was scheduling the production of 69 Année Érotique around that event because he was planning to be away for at least two weeks. That’s not longer the case, so, unless there’s a dramatic change at the University and the screenings and talks are back on, Jac is scheduling the production of 69 Année Érotique for August and September. The exact date of the beginning of production will be set by the end of next week, but for all practical purposes, the production of 69 Année Érotique is ON beginning today.
Margot said: How would you feel being scourged, viciously, then taken to be exposed all bloody and naked to a bunch of people, then made to pick up your patibulum and force to walk, carrying that heavy wood on your shoulders, with people jeering at you, maybe throwing things at you, and a torturer or two flogging you to make you walk faster and then, after you reach your destination, to be nailed to the patibulum… to then begin your torture… With an emphasis on ‘in front of lots of people’

The meeting with the three leading ladies planned for last week didn’t take place as scheduled because Simonne was tested positive for Covid. There were only two leading ladies at hand for the meeting, which was dedicated to go over the costumes they need for the Pitch Jac is planning to record, and to discuss the future, without the information that came Jac’s way the next day.
One of the issues came prominently, that of the props. One very important prop one is the famous The Crown Of Thorns. Jac remembered a town he visited years ago, while making a documentary about the Jesuit Missions, where they make very nice and brutally honest crowns for Holy Week. They use them on the statue of The Christ that they carry around during the traditional procession in Good Friday. One idea is to see if he can get the crown from that place or at least copy their style.
Margot said: and here we are, 20 something years later, discussing a Female Christ scenario for a new film and the offer of some good cash to make it happen… that is if we raise enough to make it THE WAY IT HAS TO BE MADE!
Don’t forget the two thieves!
Would LOVE to see Dani and Mila crucified as the two thieves, naked alongside the lovely actress who played Isabel as Christa, all scourged bloody and humiliated for the jeering crowd’s macabre entertainment.
But that’s just my dream-team, surely I will enjoy whatever Jac is able to produce!

Part of that wish will come true. Dani and Mila are going to be up on their crosses, but not as thieves. That bit of the story will be different; however Bea, the actress in The Passion of Isabel and Justine, is no longer active in the film world for the time being, she has moved on to a more domestic life.
The actress that will be part of the three crucified women in the film is Simonne, who made her debut with us in Monxa Mala.
If you guys take the challenge to pick up the Female Jesus theme, would be thrilling.
When you look at almost all Jesus movies, these crucifixions are not good at all.
All the production Teams didn’t really pay attention to details, thus failed. One can pump millions and millions into a project, but when he doesn’t know what he’s doing, what can it be?You got the knowledge to do it.
Maybe you would like to think about the “Thief” issue. Why not having a female and a male Thief?
Most likely, when they crucified Jesus, there was quite sure a woman crucified alongside with him.And yes of course, who can say that Jesus was a male?

Thank you for the good wishes. The general consensus amongst those who initiated this project, and that includes our team, or course, is that all three of the crucified should be women. One basic reason is because the Female Christ in this story leads a group of women, she has some male sympathizers, but she leads a tight group of young women who want to learn from her and consider her a prophetess. The paradigms in the traditional story have been changed in very creative ways to make the story more plausible within its historical and sociological framework.
So, it has become very important that all three of them be women.
In our story two of those young women are sisters who hold opposites views of what the prophetess should do with her life and mission. Both of them, without really intending to do it, bring about their horrifying and fateful experience, for all three of them.
We’re preparing to launch our campaign to raise funds for this amazing movie, in the meantime one way to help us move the project ahead is by having the extreme pleasure of watching our movies!
