The Crucifixion of Isabel Begins!

The Passion of Isabel continues with Torquemada nailing Isabel’s hands and feet to The Wheel of Pain. Isabel is no longer upside down, the weight of her body rests on her feet, her wrists feel the ropes tighten when she moves. Torquemada grabs her foot, moves it in position. Isabel feels the hard and sharp point of a rusty nail on top of her foot. She trembles in fear for what is to come as she sees Torquemada raise a hammer to bring it down with force against the nail. Isabel cries in pain as the nail breaks through her flesh and bones.

When Torquemada is done nailing both of Isabel‘s feet to the rim of the Wheel of Pain, he rotates it making Isabel go a few turns around. As she is again upside down, she can feel her body pulling her down, her feet held by the nails now, The pain is excruciating and it’s not over. Isabel feels how Torquemada opens the palm of her hand and places the tip of a nail in the center of it.

In the final crucifixion, Isabel is subjected to probes with sharp objects (the medieval test for witches) and the pressure belt to add to her torment. Torquemada nails her feet and hands and rotates the wheel so that Isabel goes from the upright Christ position to the upside-down configuration of St. Peter.

From the discussion Maleficarum II – The Seeds Part III at the Red Feline Club:

As I mentioned before, Maleficarum II – Monxa Mala was a project in Jac’s mind as a possible movie for the future with a big MAYBE written on the top of the virtual page in his brain. What was preventing it to enter the pre-production phase, that step that takes a project out of the “in development” limbo to turn it into a THING, were a few unresolved issues, to name a few, the cast, the crew and the budget. The script was lingering there. It’s easy to write a script when you have a muse and a star to carry the day, as it was with Maleficarum. Jac thought of that inquisition film with Amy in mind for the lead character and he didn’t even write a script for it. He wrote the testimonies, a bit of dialogue to set the beginning of the film and then off he went to direct the film, making up the story as he went along. A work of genius.

The first Maleficarum is a success, and that reason alone kept the possibility of a new inquisition movie alive and under consideration for the coming year. Almost two months ago I started an epistolary exchange with Pícaro, which I’ve been publishing, at least parts of it. Then this email arrived:

OK, Margot. Thanks for the update. A LOT of STUFF to digest. However, distilling it, are you saying it would put the start of M-II production “over the top” and into reality if I made the 5k available before the first of the year rather than in 2/18? that is possible.!

Pícaro

Hello Pícaro, I like where this is going, most encouraging. What would bring M-II “over the top” is available funds to secure some of the critical things we would need. Signing contracts with actresses is what seals the deal, the same goes for securing locations and building props. (…).
