Sounds pretty nice!

It was on Monday that the last take of the last sequence in the last day of shooting that was called… Scene 45, Shot 11, Take 3 Slate! The familiar echo of the slate reverberated in the set and Juliette, Justine’s sister, gave her last dialogue line to a laughing Ronin. After the shot was done, Jac said CUT!!... followed by It’s a WRAP! in an almost thundering voice. The crew and cast present applauded and it was done. JUSTINE passed from Production to Post Production!

Production is complete, but the work is not done. As Amy pointed out in her recent post here, the building of the movie is now at hand. Editing, Sound mix, Color Correction and all of that.

Soon after the film was in the can I overheard Jac giving an interview where he said

To make a film we need time and money and I don’t think I had enough money and enough time to do what I wanted but I did plenty and I’m proud of it, very proud. The cast was amazing, the crew was amazing and of course, Amy was truly amazing, as always. I wasn’t bad at all, I don’t think.

Jac The Director in an interview

He wasn’t. He wasn’t bad at all. Actually he was very good. Some in the crew were amazed as how fast it all went. The film was shot in 20 days, that’s all. And one of those 20 days was interrupted by a flood and nothing much was done, so, basically, it was all done in 19 days.

The question in everyone’s mind is Where Do We Go From Here? What’s Next? Well, we all need a break, of course, the holidays are upon us, the year is ending, there’s a lot to celebrate for and we have to sit down and make an assessment of what 2015 meant for us.

  • We released one film. OLALLA.
  • We produced Amy’s Pygmalion!
  • Amy went to Mexico and the US with Olalla
  • Amy and Jac went to ORURO with Olalla and by doing so a 10 year cycle came to an emotional end.
  • We produced JUSTINE!
  • What a year! Indeed.

Can we do better than that in 2016? We will release TWO MOVIES. Pygmalion and JUSTINE and we are planning to shoot A FEW! Yes, not one, not two, A FEW! I cannot reveal most of what I mean right now but as the following link demonstrates, we are getting a lot of attention and that is translating in some interesting events. The internet horror film magazine Shock Till You Drop just published 18 exclusive pictures of behind the scenes of JUSTINE along with a great comment about Amy and our work.

You should go visit, it’s a must! Things are moving in mysterious ways. There’s a wild outcome from Olalla‘s presentation in Mexico at the FERATUM film festival. Connections were made, suggestions came our way, contacts increased and now we’re on the verge of something new and unexpected. Meanwhile, we’re full steam into completing those two projects, Pygmalion and JUSTINE.

I will have updates on the progress of both movies and some very exciting pictures from behind the scenes of JUSTINE.
