From The Passion of Amy Hesketh to The Passion of Isabel, pushing bloody boundaries in Cinema!
The horror genre, like it’s spiritual cousin Rock ‘n’ Roll, often suffer through long creative droughts until something ferocious and original suddenly pops up and renews your faith all over again. If you’ve been feeling a similar dry spell, the films of Amy Hesketh might be the shot of no-budget adrenaline you need. A talented director, actress, writer and producer, Hesketh tackles subjects like the Inquisition and the story of Bluebeard while packing in more violence, nudity and nihilism than any major film would dare. She’s also willing to risk it all for her art, including enduring weeks of being stripped, suspended and beaten while playing the lead role in Jac Avila’s Inquisition drama Maleficarum. But what’s truly surprising is that this expatriate American is doing it all in the remote mountains of Bolivia.

Margot, it works! The new camera works wonderfully well, producing gorgeous skin tones for Bea/Anna/Isobel (and, I imagine, for Jac, but not many will care). Let the shooting begin! Here’s hoping there’s something in your new work to capture the imagination of everyone on this board. Cheers!

Cheers to you too! When I start getting the pictures from the location there will be much excitement. The testing of the camera was done without much preparation other than pressing the shooter. All of the pictures were taken using the natural light that entered from the office’s windows which is next to Jac’s bedroom, and bounced from Jac’s bathroom which too, is next to the bedroom and has wonderful windows too. He was also helped by the reflection of the white bed cover. So, the pictures I am posting from the test do not reflect the capabilities of the camera to work under very professional conditions, but yes, the pictures came out very nice, the camera is excellent and it captures a great image if used properly. There are a couple of pictures where the light was just right and Bea looks just amazing.
