Bea and the new productions to be.

Both the Marquis de Sade and Jac Avila question the central conundrum about God that has forever perplexed the faithful. Is He merciful or simply whimsical? Sade the atheist dismisses the argument altogether as illustrated when Justine is imprisoned in the monastery’s collection of tortured female flesh. To make way for new girls, current ones are regularly discharged (murdered) but without any particular reason. Age, attractiveness, attitude, nothing seems to determine who is chosen and why. Jac Avila has a larger, moral take on the question. To understand how he handles this deeper issue, view this thought provoking film and watch for what is not included here.

Happy holidays, all! That is very welcome news from Margot: I became a Bea fan at first sight, and so would love to see her featured in future films. In fact, I contributed $200 or so to Justine, with the specific request that Bea experience the bastinado, but for some artistic reason or other that did not happen. Perhaps we can hope that Bea’s soles are tested in one of the future films.

When you have three ladies to torture, it’s very difficult to pay all the attention each one of those wonderful women deserve. When you only have one, there’s a lot more you can do to make her feel like she’s the one deserving of all that attention. Maybe Bea has reached that high plateau where she will suffer alone all the misfortunes planned for her. I don’t know what that will include, but I’m sure I’ll be learning about it soon. What I do know is that the experience the heroine will go through will last ten days. The shooting may take twice as long, but I don’t know for sure. Will there be bastinado? Perhaps.

Also, I have not heard much said about the actress who plays Amy’s sister–is this someone we should know? I would love to see her in future films. The contrast between the elaborate period costume and glamorous make-up, on the one hand, and the strictures of the chamber, on the other, is part of the drama the (for me, anyway) drives these films. The slow, deliberate, absolute deconstruction adds an electric charge to the storyline. About dames dangling over dangers: one of the iconic images, though G-rated and tame, is Noelle Adam in Wonders of Aladdin. Much, much, much is left to the imagination, but imaginations can be wonderful things. Cheers!

Cortney, the actress that plays Juliette, Justine’s sister in the story, will be having some roles in the future. She played a role in Dead But Dreaming. She might return in a role in the sequel to that movie. However, she won’t be doing any torture scenes. That I know for sure.

Got my signed DVD of Justine, and I love it!

I bought the movie. The highlight is right at the beginning – the public flogging scene. A beauty to watch. Amy is just incredible in this scene, just like she was in Dead but Dreaming. I also liked the two floggings at the end. Although the triple crucifixion is pretty unique, I would have loved to see the actual nailing scenes and the women raised on their cross (although that may be technically difficult to achieve). I also would have loved to see the girl wearing the crown of thorns actually being crowned…. but overall, a great, unique movie! Thanks Margot and co!

Those are some of the comments we get in some other sites where our films are discussed and we’re seeing a steady flow of sales of the new movie. JUSTINE has taken off and it’s now traveling very far on its own CINErgy. We’re relaxed now, JUSTINE has reached a very high number of viewers and it has not yet been launched on amazon.com. At this time we’re looking forward to the release of Pygmalion sometime in March of next year. That new film is pretty much done, next week it will go through sound mix and color correction and that’s the end of post-production. I saw a recent cut and I love it. It’s funny, sexy and very intimate, almost a personal film where Amy and Jac tell a story within a story within a story. It’s fascinating to see that.

2016 is over, it is the time to sit back, relax with a good drink and review the year that is now gone while looking ahead to the new year and its mystery. With the end of 2016, the End of year SALE will also end. Last chance of the year to get a couple of really cool movies for less! I wish you all a happy new year and I’ll be around in 2017!
