We’re living a different time now, totally different from the days when Amy and Jac were working on a series of movies for the\u00a0Red Feline Pictures<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0line, like\u00a0FANTOM<\/span><\/strong>. Those no budget, two person cast and crew movies that were, and sometimes are, the base upon which bigger things were and are built.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, as different as things are now, they are also very much the same. Dani and Jac are working on a series of movies for the\u00a0Red Feline<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0line, like\u00a0Crux Extrema<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0while also working on bigger things, much bigger things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Amy’s film,\u00a0Pygmalion<\/span><\/strong>, is getting ready for its theatrical release, but that’s not the only preoccupation in Jac’s or Amy’s mind. Amy has now gone into production of her new film,\u00a0Rucker<\/span><\/strong>, while Jac is looking into a big environmental film because things are happening so fast in how we’re destroying the planet, that he is feeling the call, that almost divine call, to action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was not too long ago that Amy and Jac were traveling through the rain Forrest of Bolivia, to make a few documentaries and searching for locations for films. Those territories, full of fantastic vegetation, thousands of species of animals, birds and insects are now in danger of\u00a0utter destruction by policies from the governments of Brazil and Bolivia<\/strong>, who have lost all respect for mother earth and life itself. The time to tell that story is now and he will be getting very busy with that herculean effort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new times, that began with that great film,\u00a0The Passion of Isabel<\/span>,<\/strong>\u00a0a two person cast and crew film, has introduced new faces to our cast, like Bea, who is the star of\u00a0The Passion<\/span><\/strong>, who was ‘discovered’ when she had a small role in\u00a0Olalla<\/span><\/strong>, took a bigger role in\u00a0Pygmalion<\/span><\/strong>, and an even bigger role in\u00a0JUSTINE<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0and was going to be the protagonist of\u00a0Monxa Mala<\/span><\/strong> but other career opportunities took her away. It also introduced us to Dani, who is suffering a lot in\u00a0Crux Extrema<\/span><\/strong>, is one of the protagonists of\u00a0Monxa Mala<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0and it looks like she has taken a very prominent role in our productions as she’s going to be in a bunch of films. Other actresses that joined the cast were Simonne and Stephanie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The one consistent cast member who remains involved is Mila, who was with us from the moment those big production values movies began to be made, like\u00a0Maleficarum<\/span>, Le Marquis<\/span>, Barbazul<\/span>, Dead But Dreaming<\/span>, Olalla<\/span> , Justine<\/span> <\/strong>and Pygmalion<\/span><\/strong>, 7 films in less than five years. She is the star of\u00a0Mila \u00c0 La Croix<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0and she has a protagonist role in\u00a0Monxa Mala<\/span><\/strong>. She’ll be a leading lady in many movies in the near future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But the times have changed, and as we move into other plans, like big documentaries and features, like\u00a0Rucker<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Casa De Fieras<\/span><\/strong>, we think that making more\u00a0Red Feline<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0productions like\u00a0Crux Extrema<\/span><\/strong>, will continue for at least the coming year. After that, I cannot be sure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another change coming is that a lot of the movies we have will go into a streaming platform in the near future, replacing downloads and DVDs, along with many unreleased films that we have in our large catalogue like\u00a0Double Cross<\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We’re working on that now. Downloads and DVDs, will go the way VHS tapes went. These are changing times, indeed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
