She began to work on her second feature:&nbsp;<strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Barbazul<\/span><\/strong>&nbsp;and she wanted&nbsp;<strong>Veronica Paintoux<\/strong>, the protagonist of&nbsp;<strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-green-cyan-color\">Sirwi\u00f1akuy<\/span><\/strong>, to play a leading role.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Amy had the intention of making her own version of&nbsp;<strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Barbazul<\/span><\/strong>&nbsp;for some time. Having passed the test with&nbsp;<strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-green-cyan-color\">Sirwi\u00f1akuy<\/span><\/strong>, Amy decided that it was time to bring her dream to reality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img src=\"http:\/\/vermeerworks.com\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/BarbazulPoster06ENG.jpg\" alt=\"BarbazulPoster06ENG.jpg\" title=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>In November of 2010&nbsp;<strong>Veronica Paintoux<\/strong>, the protagonist of&nbsp;<strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-green-cyan-color\">Sirwi\u00f1akuy<\/span><\/strong>, arrived to the airport in El Alto in a flight that took her from her home in Strasbourg, France, to the city of La Paz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Barbazul<\/span><\/strong>&nbsp;is based on the children&#8217;s story&nbsp;<em><strong>&#8220;Le Barbe Bleue&#8221;&nbsp;<\/strong><\/em>(1697) written by Charles Perrault, about a man with a blue beard who kills his wives. In the original story, Barbe Bleue is a pirate. Amy had a different idea for her own version of the old classic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img src=\"http:\/\/vermeerworks.com\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Barbazul00514908.jpg\" alt=\"Barbazul00514908.jpg\" title=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Amy cast Jac Avila in the leading role of Barbazul and Veronica Paintoux plays Anabelle, the love of Barbazul&#8217;s life, the first of six ladies who must either please Barbazul or face death. The fourth in line, Jane, is played by Amy Hesketh herself, while Mila Joya, who was just beginning her career in&nbsp;<strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Maleficarum<\/span><\/strong>, plays the central role of Soledad, the bride who discovers Barbazul&#8217;s dark secret. Other brides are played by Erika Saavedra, who plays a witness in&nbsp;<strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Maleficarum<\/span><\/strong>, and Paola Teran, the well known singer in the rock band&nbsp;<strong>Libelula<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img src=\"http:\/\/vermeerworks.com\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Barbazul00233718.jpg\" alt=\"Barbazul00233718.jpg\" title=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Beto Lopez, the infamous inquisitor in&nbsp;<strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Maleficarum<\/span><\/strong>&nbsp;and Luis Montez&#8217; colleague in&nbsp;<strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-green-cyan-color\">Sirwi\u00f1akuy<\/span><\/strong>, plays Walter, Barbazul&#8217;s very mysterious butler. Erik Antoine, who was Anouk&#8217;s ex-boyfriend in&nbsp;<strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-green-cyan-color\">Sirwi\u00f1akuy<\/span><\/strong>&nbsp;is Paul the photographer.
