Ralphus and Gimpers there is a lot of nudity in the Catholic bible: [www.bing.com]<\/a>\u00a0which I’m non believer, ex Catholic so I’m just pointing out not every religion sees nudity like the Mormon morons see nudity or porn. Interesting discussion. There’s a new entry on the three part article that Rich Moreland wrote about Jac. In the\u00a0Jac Avila, Part Three: The Body in Pain<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0the discussion centers around Jac’s views on the church and its relation to his work. It’s really cool reading. I quote:\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jac then cites the distinction between the Catholic and Protestant interpretation of sexuality. “Catholic imagery is full of The Body in Pain, a beautiful body, always, either male or female, almost nude or totally nude, with an expression of bliss in the very moment of martyrdom.” Elaborating on the visual impact of a crucifixion, Jac explains, “The school I attended was full of those images. Beautiful paintings expressing exactly that.
