JUSTINE<\/span><\/strong> is coming! Amy is finalizing the color correction of this magnificent film, while Jac worked on some particular sound issues. The last stretch of the making of this movie is happening now. I believe that in a few days I will receive the news that the films is ready! Does it mean that I will have a release date? Not necessarily, but who knows, I might. What will happen is that some people will see the film, make an evaluation and decide that either it’s DONE, or that it may need something or other, like a sound effect, or some visual something. Once that happens, the film will get a green light for release and I will have a date and the campaign will proceed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are talks taking place right now over the possible production of Maleficarum II – Monxa Mala<\/span><\/strong>. Jac is having conversations with actresses who are interested in taking difficult roles in the drama of a group of nuns who end up at the hands of the holy inquisition. I heard, from Jac, the basic storyline and it’s really cool. When Jac mentioned it to Amy, her reaction was Oooooooo\u2026 it’s so good!<\/em><\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, we’ll see what comes of that. Meanwhile the second part of the amazing review\/essay about Olalla came out yesterday: Olalla, Part Two: Depraved Miscreants<\/strong>.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The film expands on the family as a pack of depraved miscreants. In his story, Stevenson informs the reader that the mother sits in the sun against a pillar and other than brushing her hair, hasn\u2019t \u201cthe least spark of energy.\u201d Amy Hesketh\u2019s take on the household presents an indolent aunt and uncles who are robotic without purpose, moving in unison with nowhere to go.<\/span><\/em><\/p>

The updated Olalla does change one important element. In a nod to Stevenson\u2019s tale, the mother indeed bites Roberto\u2019s hand, but the impulsive act inflames the villagers and ushers in her death, as we will see.<\/span><\/em><\/p>

It’s really cool reading. Amy must continue with her films, she’s becoming a name to reckon with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
